A completely non-touristy day: the place where Lomonosov made glass for mosaics, the pine dunes of Lebyazhye and a huge coastal fort in the forest.
Getting there
By car west along the St Petersburg Highway (A-121), about an hour to Ust-Ruditsa, then to the gulf at Lebyazhye and on to the fort.
What to take
Closed shoes, a flashlight for the casemates, a snack and water, binoculars.
Stops
- Ust-Ruditsa: Lomonosov's Factory — The place where Lomonosov made colored glass for mosaics.
- Lebyazhye — An old coastal village: beaches, pine trees, and the Sheremetev estate.
- Fort Krasnaya Gorka — A coastal fortress built against the German fleet.
