⚓ Sea and Fortresses

An old coastal village: beaches, pine trees, and the Sheremetev estate.

The village of "Lebezhye" is mentioned in cadastral books as early as 1612, and on Swedish maps it appears under its own Finnish and Swedish names. After the Great Northern War, Peter gave these lands to Field Marshal Boris Sheremetev, and the estate long belonged to his children. Today Lebyazhye is a quiet settlement with long sandy beaches, boulders, and pine dunes. It is the "Lebyazhy" nature reserve: in spring and autumn, thousands of migratory birds stop here to rest, including swans — hence probably the name.

Tip: During migration season (April–May, September–October), bring binoculars. The wind from the gulf is cold even in summer.

🌲 The Western Shore: Lomonosov, Lebyazhye and Krasnaya Gorka

A completely non-touristy day: the place where Lomonosov made glass for mosaics, the pine dunes of Lebyazhye and a huge coastal fort in the forest.
